Illinois Youth in USCF Top 100 as of April 2015

New names entering (or returning to) the top 100 lists this month include 7-year old William Wang, 14-year old James Wei, 16-year old Philip Parker-Turner and 18-year old Mark Reed. Caeley Harihara has reappeared on the Under 21 year old Girls list.
Jacob Furfine surpassed USCF 2200 to enter Master territory.
Stefan Musikic surpassed 1800 earning Class A distinction.
9-year old downstater Peter Zheng raised his rating 36 points to 1509 which would make him eligible for Warren Junior Scholars status next year under current rules, pending his participation in ten regular-rated games against all-ages competition during 2015.
Posting the highest ratings increments among continuing list members were Adam Bareket 73, George Li 72,Timothy Zhou 69 points, Jason Daniels 68 and Toby Yang 57.
Also with nice rating bumps were David Peng 45, Vrishank Ramnath 43, Ricky Wang and Hanson Hao, both with 41. Additional enhancements were seen from Stefan Musikic 38, Bradley Guan 37, Nikhil Kalghatgi 29, Daniel Bronfeyn 28, Alex Bian 25, Rishi Narayanan 23, and Minkee Lee up 20.
Celebrating birthdays this month were Arthur Xu and Nicholas Bartochowski.
Illinois boasts a remarkable eleven 18-year olds in the top 100 (actually top 90) and there is a rumor that they will be organizing a football team in the fall (April Fools!).
March 18th was the game cut-off date for this ratings compilation.
