Illinois Girls in the US Top 100 Lists

Thirty-seven female juniors have surpassed the 1000 mark as of the July 2018 ratings... with seven girls rated above 1800 and three above 2000.
Since Sukhi Doddi moved up to the next age bracket, Chaitra Madugula is now Illinois’ highest ranked girl in the ‘Age 7 and Under’ group with an impressive rating of 594 for a 6-year old.
Impressive is also Saruul Ann Uuganbayar’s 150 rating point increase over last month, who jumped from no. 96 in the country to no. 51.
In the ‘Age 9’ group, Enkhjin Namuunbayar continues to improve and has achieved a four-digit rating (1116) for the first time.
Ria Raj, top in our group of 9-year olds last month, turned 10 but maintained her first place in her new age bracket with a USCF rating of now 1384. A shout-out also to Himani Musku, who had her first mention on the Top 100 lists for girls in Illinois.
Talented 12-year old Natalie Wisniowski brought her rating back above 1700 at the Chicago Open and has since improved even further.
Diana Shklover, who had not played chess in quite some time, also had a successful Chicago Open now ranking in 52nd place nationwide among 15-year olds.

The lists compiled by US Chess are based on ratings achieved and processed by the third Wednesday of the previous month, in this case June 20, 2018.
