Registrations Over 120 For Sunday's Illinois Class

The final stop of the 2015 Illinois Chess Tour has 116 registered as of midday on Friday.
The Illinois Class Champions will be determined Sunday at the Hilton Lisle / Naperville after four rounds with Game/60, five-second delay competition.

As of Saturday morning, GM Vladmir Georgiev and Dimitry Gurevich are the two grandmasters signied up so far. 12 are on board in the Master / Expert section.
Paced by Jeff Dixon and Douglas Middleton, 16 are registered in Class A with five Class B players playing up a section.
19 are signed up in Class B including Swain Prasad and Daumants Hazners with seven Class C players opting to play up.
Class C shows Philip Linninger and Anthony Yan with the highest official ratings among 16 entries.
So far 18 entrants have expressed a desire to become Class D 2015 Illinois Champion with Krishna Appalaneni and Ashley Yan leading the pre-event ratings with seven Class E players opting to play up a section.
In the Under 1200, trophies will be awarded for the top score among U1200, U1000 and U800 players. Sameer Bhagi and Kevin Boskey are the highest rated players among 38 entrants, more than any other two sections combined. Runners up at each of those levels will receive medals as will those with the third-highest score.
Three entrants will be playing their very first US Chess rated tournament. By tournament rules, they must play in the U1200.
Jeffrey Smith and Maret Thorpe will serve as Tournament Directors.
