CALL FOR BIDS: 2016 IL K-8 Championships

The Illinois Chess Association is now accepting bids for the 2018 Illinois K-8 Chess Championships.

Suggested dates are March 12 and 13, 2016. Preference will be given to bidders with an upstate location.

Bid deadline is now February 1.

Details: Suggested format is four sections (K-1, K-3, K-5, and K-8), with seven rounds for each section. Time controls: Section K-1 at Game/30, Section K-3 at Game/45, Sections K-5 and K-8 Game/60.

Early entry fee is usually $30 - $35.
