Patrick G. Machaj Memorial Tournament at Benjamin School

Scholastic K-8 chess tournament with 3 sections:  Junior High Grades 6 - 8, Elementary 4 - 5. Primary K - 3.  The team score is the top four scores from members of school team; no club teams.  Must have 2 players to qualify for a Team Score.  

Sections:

Junior High: 4 Rounds, Swiss G/45;D5

Elementary:  5 Rounds, Swiss G/35; D5

Primary: 5 Rounds, Swiss G/30; D5

Registration/Fees:

Early-bird registration:  Fee for all sections is $25.00 to 11:59 pm on 11/26/24;

Late Registration:  $35.00 after 11/26/24 

Registration Deadline: No entries after 11:59 p.m. 12/6

Awards:

Trophies for the top 10 individuals in each section, the top 5 teams in each section (must have 2 players to qualify for a team score), and the top Kindergarten player.

Arrival:

Arrive by 8:30 am. The first round starts promptly at 9:00.  Subsequent rounds ASAP.

Concessions

Food Service is available from 8:00 a.m. through the end of the tournament.

No outside food will be allowed.
